Sustainable Living in Springvale: A Step Towards a Greener Future
Steradian is proud to announce the approval of a new sustainable residential development in Springvale, a project designed to set a benchmark for environmentally responsible urban living.
Located just a short walk from Springvale Station and local amenities, this six-townhouse development prioritises sustainability without compromising comfort or convenience. Each home has been designed to meet high environmental standards, featuring all-electric infrastructure, a 7-star NatHERs rating, and a focus on energy efficiency and water conservation.
From the beginning, sustainability was at the heart of this project. Rainwater tanks, WELS rated appliances, and water-efficient landscaping were incorporated to reduce water consumption. Thoughtful design choices, such as natural ventilation, double glazing, and LED lighting, ensure a comfortable indoor environment with minimal energy use. A comprehensive Waste Management Plan was also developed to promote responsible waste disposal and recycling within the community.
Steradian was engaged to provide a Sustainable Design Assessment (SDA) and Waste Management Plan (WMP), ensuring that the development met the City of Greater Dandenong’s ESD policy. We worked closely with Canter Town Planning, who led the project’s planning and approvals, and we appreciate the guidance and collaboration of Greater Dandenong City Council in helping bring this vision to life.
This project is more than just a collection of townhouses, it represents a shift towards more sustainable, energy-efficient, and environmentally conscious living.
If you are looking to integrate sustainability and compliance into your next development, Steradian can help. Our team specialises in SDA, BESS, and STORM assessments, energy efficiency strategies, and waste management planning to ensure your project meets the highest environmental standards.
